Dr. Mohammed Khalil, MD, serves as the Section Head for Clinical and Imaging Services within the Heart and Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is also a valued member of the Heart Failure team. Prior to his current role, Dr. Khalil served as the Director of Imaging Services at UnityPoint Health in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in establishing both the Heart Failure Program and the Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing Program, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to patient care. A native of Jordan, Dr. Khalil earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan. He then pursued his postgraduate studies in the United States, completing specialty training in Internal Medicine at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in New York City. Following this, he embarked on three years of subspecialty training in Cardiovascular Disease at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, further refining his expertise. He further bolstered his qualifications with an advanced imaging training post-fellowship focused on Cardiac MRI and CT, showcasing his dedication to continual learning and staying at the forefront of his field. Dr. Khalil's research interests lie in modalities that enhance diagnostic imaging quality, aiming to improve patient outcomes through more accurate diagnoses. He holds several prestigious American Board certifications in Cardiovascular Diseases, Vascular Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology, demonstrating his extensive knowledge and expertise. Additionally, he has actively contributed to the medical field by publishing research articles in peer-reviewed journals, sharing his valuable insights with the wider medical community.
